Level 6 Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision (TCSU-L6)

Description

This qualification is designed to give learners the knowledge, skills and competencies to provide clinical supervision for counselling practitioners.  It is aimed at counsellors who have acquired sufficient client work experience to contemplate the move into a clinical supervision role.

The course is online only, one Saturday per calendar month in the academic school year, September to July.

Entry Requirements

Candidates wishing to start this course must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Achieved a CPCAB TC-L4 or equivalent qualification and

  • Achieved a CPCAB CBT-L5 or PC-L5 qualification or equivalent CPD and

  • Acquired two years (part time) of supervised counselling practice after qualifying with the CPCAB TC-L4 qualification or equivalent and

  • Completed a minimum of 450 supervised client hours.

  • Be actively working as a counsellor under supervision, and as a member of a professional body, such as the BACP or NCS.

The minimum age for this course is 19 (age requirement is linked to Ofqual’s system for categorising qualifications).

Cost & Other Requirements

£1950 (options to pay upfront or by deposit and monthly interest free instalments). 

Candidates must start work with at least two supervisees during the course.

Partake in supervisory supervision.

CPCAB candidate registration fee (currently £346).

This qualification is eligible for Advanced Learner Loans(19+), please refer to the CPCAB website for information here.

 

Guided Learning Hours & Course Credits

This course is 90 hours and has a total of 33 credits.
